Stream Trail
Bleialf
This hiking route in the NaturWanderPark delux lives up to its name. Four streams with very different characters are lively companions for the hiker.
Set out early and you will feel the magic of this landscape. Experience how the day awakens, how the mists lift and dance as little clouds over the water. The first rays of the morning sun tentatively grope through the branches and draw bright green spots in the moss, which drapes the forest floor in small carpets. A light rustling of leaves announces the awakening wind, which drives away the morning veils and the pink flakes from the clearing sky. The landscape a little north of Bleialf presents itself like the backdrop of an ancient legend, handed down by Celtic druids.
The Bach Trail follows - true to its name - a total of four streams: Alfbach, Donsbach, Ihrenbach and Dürenbach, as well as at times the border to Belgium. But there are also two heights to overcome, which give you great views over the Ardennes to the High Fens. The varied path surprises again and again with secluded places, whether in the midst of fragrant meadows, on sun-flooded forest clearings or on the banks of the lively streams that you follow.
Alv or the spirits we call
The Alfbach will be your first companion. Here, as well as in Bleialf, the term Alf is involved. Our Celtic ancestors understood Alfen, Alven or Alben to be spirits of nature that appear in different forms depending on the element.
As a path of leisure, the Bach path invites you to enjoyable serenity, but also to attentiveness for the things in the landscape that make up the beautiful, the mysterious, the magical. Just let yourself go and get in touch with the spirits of nature at four places of leisure - with a wink - by means of the wishing wheels set up there.
