Bollendorf Fairytale Trail
Bollendorf
Do you already know King Bollybur and Princess Bollonia? If you have children, you should set off on a fairytale hike through the rocky forest of Bollendorf and get to know these two!
The "rocky story" about the young king's son and his beloved princess, who is kidnapped by evil robber barons, was invented by a couple of parents from Bollendorf. The fairytale trail allows children and adults to experience the rock formations in a particularly imaginative and unusual way during an approximately 1.5-hour hike.
The trail includes a lovingly designed colouring book with the story, which guides hikers young and old from station to station. All children who have hiked the Bollendorf Fairytale Trail, recognised the mystical rock figures in the story and coloured them in the book, will receive a small reward at the Tourist Information after the tour.
The fairytale trail is suitable for children aged 4 and over. Sturdy shoes are recommended. Watch out: The trail is not suitable for pushchairs!
Our tip: Download the fairytale book with the route map and all the stations here and print it out to take with you. The book is also available during opening hours at the Tourist Information Centre in the historic Abteihof in Bollendorf and is usually available in a box at the starting point of the Fairytale Trail.
