Nature Parc visitor center Teufelsschlucht
The Devil's Gorge Nature Park Centre in the Southern Eifel Nature Park, with its tourist information point, nature park museum and bistro with forest terrace, is the ideal starting point for tours through the rocky world around the Devil's Gorge.
The exhibition at the nature park museum provides information about the origins, history and special features of the rocky landscape. It focuses on the geology of the sandstone rock landscape and the archaeology of the region. A tour of the museum is part of the informative and entertaining Teufelsschlucht audio tour, which is included free of charge in the "Lauschtour App" for your own smartphone.
At the tourist information point, visitors can find out about hiking routes, sights and excursion destinations in the area.
The "Teufels Küche" bistro invites you to enjoy a snack or relax on the sun terrace. Groups can also book catering here.
For groups of all kinds - school classes or company outings, youth, family or hiking groups - the team at the nature park centre organises nature excursions, adventure and activity programmes.
Hiking routes: Three marked routes through the Devil's Gorge of varying lengths start and end at the Nature Park Centre: the Small and Large Devil's Gorge Circular Trail and the Devil's Eight, which connects the Devil's Gorge and the Irrel Waterfalls. The premium hiking trail "Felsenweg 6" of the NaturWanderPark delux is also named after the Devil's Gorge, for which the nature park centre offers a rest stop and refreshments.
House of Hunting: Attached to the nature park centre is the German Hunting Association's House of Hunting with exhibitions on the history of hunting since the Stone Age and local wild animal species.
Dinosaurs and more: There is a privately run apiary in the immediate vicinity of the nature park centre. And just a few steps away, the large Teufelsschlucht dinosaur park invites you to travel back in time through prehistory. A day trip that combines a hike through the Devil's Gorge with a stop at the nature park centre and a visit to the dinosaur park is not only recommended for families with children.
