Marktplatz Neuerburg und Stadthaus
Neuerburg
The market square was created after the great town fire in 1818.
The Marian column was erected in 1932 to mark the 600th anniversary of the granting of the town charter to Neuerburg by Frederick of Neuerburg and Brandenburg in 1332. On the northern side of the market square, by the Enzbach stream, is the bridge saint Johannes von Nepomuk. From the market square you can reach the town hall in Herrenstraße. Built in 1897, the town hall was created in its present form after partial destruction in the Second World War. Today it houses the mayor's office of the town of Neuerburg and the Neuerburg forestry office.
