The memorial stone is dedicated to the famous composer Johann Anton Zinnen, who was born in Neuerburg.
Johann Anton Zinnen (* 1827) became famous as the composer of the Luxembourg national anthem. His family emigrated to South America in 1828. They returned only a few years later, but to Luxembourg, where the Luxembourg national anthem was also composed.
Among other things, Zinnen was head of the Luxembourg Music Association. He wrote operettas and ballet music - 170 works in total. He lived in Paris for the last few years of his life.
Johann Anton Zinnen died in 1898.
